Ramadan. Do you, like i feel that using the skin of the pig is haram?
When i came to this country my Uncles Cousin was wearing a pigskin jacket, i told him this would not be permitted by Allah to which he responded it is only to eat the pig that is wrong. Why would anyone want to wear the skin of such a filthy animal? Bur do you feel it is halal or haram?

The basic ruling with regards to leather is that, with the exception of pig-skin, the skin of all other animals is considered to be pure (tahir) when it goes through the process of tanning, even if the animal is unlawful to consume (such as a lion), or the animal was not slaughtered according to the rules of Shariah. Pig, however, is considered to be completely filthy; hence its skin remains impure (najis) even after tanning.
